火鉢 Hibachi
The hibachi is a traditional Japanese heating device. It is designed to hold burning charcoal. Hibachi was used for heating, not for cooking. It is too weak to warm a whole room. Sometimes, people placed a tetsubin (iron kettle) over the hibachi to boil water for tea.
