木下逸雲 Kinoshita Itsuun (1800-1866)Nanga painter of the late Edo period. He learned literati painting from 江稼圃 Ko Kaho / Jiang Jiapu of the Qing Dynasty (China) who came to Japan. He excelled in Sansui landscape and flower-and-bird paintings, and is called one of the three great literati painters in Nagasaki, along with 鉄翁祖門 Tetsuo Somon (1791-1872) and 三浦梧門 Miura Gomon (1808-1860). Itsuun was a fast painter and the opposite of Tetsuo who was a slow painter. He interacted with literati such as 田能村竹田 Tanomura Chikuden (1777-1835) and 頼山陽 Rai Sanyo (1781-1832). He was a great admirer of 董其昌 Tokisho / Dong Qichang (1555-1636), a southern painter of the late Ming Dynasty. He painted lush landscape paintings.
