滝和亭 Taki Katei (1830-1901)
Nanga artist. Born in Edo. Studied under Sato Suigai, who lived nearby, and under Araki Kankai, Katagiri Toin, Ooka Unpo and Sakamoto Konen. Studied under Hidaka Tetsuō in Nagasaki, and befriended Ch'ing masters such as Chen Yizhou. He returned to Edo and won awards at various expositions.
Age: 1863 Spring March (lunar calendar) / 癸亥 春 三月
with signature and seal 'Kate' 和亭
