長沢芦洲(蘆洲) Nagasawa Roshu (1767-1847)
Painter active in the late Edo period. Adopted son of Nagasawa Rōsetsu of the Maruyama school. Studied painting under Rousetsu. He specialized in portraits and flower-and-bird paintings and, while inheriting Rōsetsu's painting methods, he also combined them in a gentle manner.
